Tēnā koutou katoa!

As we reflect on the success of the Tino Rangitānetanga Exhibition and the presence of our treasured Kurahaupō waka, we want to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who helped make this kaupapa such a memorable and meaningful experience. 

Over the course of the exhibition, thousands of visitors walked through the doors to learn about Rangitāne history, whakapapa, taonga and stories. More importantly, they connected with the people, values and identity that continue to shape our iwi today. 

We acknowledge and thank: 

✨ Our Kurahaupō waka kaitiaki and the many whānau who shared their knowledge, time and aroha. 

✨ Our iwi partners, particularly our relations at Muaūpoko, for their support and collaboration. 

✨ Aratoi Wairarapa Museum of Art and History, Te Papa Museum, Auckland Museum, Cobblestones and their outstanding team for providing a welcoming home for this kaupapa. 

✨ All whānau and collaborators who consented to taonga, contributed narrative and shared knowledge 

✨ Our kaumātua, whānau, volunteers, storytellers and hosts who brought the exhibition to life through kōrero, wānanga and manākitanga. 

✨ The schools, kura, community groups, researchers and visitors who came from near and far to engage with the exhibition. 

✨Cooks, cleaners, donors 

✨ Our supporters, funders and partners whose contributions helped make this vision a reality. 

The exhibition reminded us that while taonga are powerful, it is the stories, relationships and people behind them that truly create lasting impact. We leave this kaupapa with an even stronger sense of pride in our history, confidence in our identity, and commitment to sharing the stories of Rangitāne with future generations.
