Te Runanga o Rangitāne TROR - This forum has representation from all five Rangitāne takiwa (constituents). Its purpose is to provide a forum to celebrate the entire iwi e.g. the Rangitāne festival
Rangitāne o Tamaki Nui a Rua Our immediate northern iwi neighbours based in Dannevirke. We are negotiating our claim settlements with them. Also involved in fisheries with us and Manawatu
Tanenuiarangi Manawatu Inc Based in Palmerston North. Part of our MIO (Fisheries company)
Rangitāne o Te Whanganui a Tara Representing our tribal interests in the Wellington area. Member of TROR
Rangitāne o Wairau Our South Island based whanaunga based in Blenheim
Kurahaupo ki te Waipounamu A collaboration between the three Kurahaupo based iwi in Te Tau Ihu (top of the South Island) Treaty claim. Rangitāne, Ngati Kuia and Ngati Apa.

Ngati Kahungunu ki Wairarapa Our Wairarapa whanaunga who share almost the exact rohe and people as us. Based in Masterton at Wairarapa Moana House – Park St, Masterton
Ngati Kahungunu Iwi Inc. NKII are the over-arching Board that are made up of the six constituent and two taura here reps

NZ Police We have a number of relationships with the Police. Our kaumatua advise the senior management in the Wairarapa and various kai mahi engage with officers across the board
Corrections Department We have had a long relationship with Corrections. Our key contact locally is Siobhan Garlick. We are also developing cultural programmes with the department
Te Puni Kōkiri TPK provide us with an immeasurable amount of assistance both strategically and financially. Dick Smith is our key contact
The Ministry of Social Development We run several contracts funded by MSD including Whanau/Youth Social Work and Social Workers in Schools.
Child, Youth and Family As above, CYFS engagement is with Head Office (funding ) and directly with our local office where we engage in supporting whanau and children in our community
DOC Department Of Conservation Another key relationship given our affinity and connection to the land. Although we engage in most of DOC’s business we are greatly involved in Pukaha Mt Bruce and Lake Wairarapa
Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry Rangitāne maintain their kaitiakitanga or guardianship of the Wairarapa coastline. Part of this role includes the issuing of customary fishing permits
The Office of Treaty Settlements OTS assist iwi to manage their treaty negotiations
Crown Forestry Rental Trust CFRT provide funding to assist iwi to settle their claim
Te Ohu Kaimoana TOKM are engaged with Maori to ensure fisheries settlements are developed and maintained

Greater Wellington Rangitāne have been signatures of the Charter of Understanding with Greater Wellington since 1993 alongside the other six iwi of the region. We have two members on the inter-iwi agency Aratahi
Masterton District Council Our matua hapu Ngati Hamua is largely based in the Masterton district so its not surprising that we have a strong and multi-faceted relationship with this particular council. A Memorandum of Partnership with MDC was signed in 2007
Carterton District Council Another district of significance to Rangitāne. We are working towards formalizing our relationship with CDC
South Wairarapa District Council We have membership to the SWDC Maori Standing Committee

JNL One of the biggest employers of Maori in our rohe and significant too given our potential interests in Ngaumu forest and the forestry industry. We’ve enjoyed a strong relationship with JNL including its Japanese owners
Wairarapa Chamber of Commerce We are members of this organisation and see the potential to work alongside fellow Wairarapa businesses to ensure a successful and productive province
Masterton Trust Lands Trust MTLT Our office is situated on MTLT land. We also see similarities in our purposes and benefits to our communities
Trust House A major source of funding for the many community projects and initiatives we are involved in
Aotearoa Fisheries Limited Rangitāne have signed a five year agreement (2008-2013) to sell our fisheries quota to this company. There are many benefits including guaranteed price, expansion opportunities and pataka kai

Toi Wairarapa The Arts Cultural and Heritage Board. We have a strong link with the board. This service has been working out of our offices since July 2007
Ara Toi We are often invited to advise on exhibits and ceremonies at Aratoi. We also contribute to the strategic plan
Wairarapa Cultural Trust This is the Trust that governs Aratoi. We have a rep on the Board – Stephanie Turner
Toi Rangitāne A future initiative that we’d like to develop where we act as a conduit for Rangitāne artists to the online community

Hauora Primarily involved in Maori Mental Health delivering services such as Alcohol and Drug dependency programmes. Rangitāne provide a mandate to this organisation to work with our people

Maori Women's Welfare League Two branches in the Wairarapa one in South Wairarapa and the other in Masterton
Kaumatua Councils This kaumatua forum provides a means for our kaumatua to hui and discuss issues affecting our community. Various agencies also report to this forum
Wairarapa Moana Wairarapa Moana provide scholarships to all those that whakapapa to the Wairarapa Moan. Contact them for more info
Papawai Kaikokirikiri Trust Rangitāne have whakapapa to both these blocks of land and so any registered member of Rangitāne o Wairarapa can qualify for a Trust grant

Te Wananga o Aotearoa Rangitāne supports the wananga’s vision to offer quality affordable education opportunities to all New Zealanders. The Wananga, which is based in Papaioea (Palmy North) manages its Te Ara Reo courses form our offices at Te Hamua

Pukaha Mt Bruce We are on the Board of Pukaha Mt Bruce and are heavily involved in the direction of this very popular visitor attraction.
Makoura Stream We have been involved in the setting up of this care group
Papawai Stream Based around our marae at Papawai this care group is a great example of the community caring for its natural resources
Sustainable Wairarapa We are invited to participate in this groups activities, many of which mirror out tikanga and philosophy as kaitiaki
